This year’s NAYDO Conference is in the books, but at Daxko, we can’t stop thinking about all the fun we had with our YMCA friends in San Antonio! In fact, we want to share our favorite moments from the conference:Meeting YOUThroughout the conference, the Daxko Nation Engagement Station was abuzz with friends old and new stopping by to attend Major Gifts University Labs, check out demos of our software, enter our iPad Mini drawings, and collect cool Daxko swag. After being on our feet all day, we were relieved to sit down with you on our comfy sofas to chat about how effective member engagement can lead to increased giving. Want to keep the conversation going?Getting Inspired by Amanda LindhoutWe couldn’t have been more proud to sponsor the Thursday luncheon, or more moved by the message that keynote speaker Amanda Lindhout brought to the table. After surviving 460 days as a hostage in war-torn Somalia, Lindhout returned home and founded the Global Enrichment Foundation that now provides funding, education, and hope to youth in Somalia. Lindhout’s powerful story touched everyone in the room; and we all learned that sometimes forgiveness can be found at the heart of giving. Looking for more inspiration?Digging in to Capital CampaignsOur Thursday afternoon workshop "An Integrated Approach to Capital Campaigns: Bringing the Pieces Together" was a full house. Daxko T2 Consultants, Tom Massey, Julie Sistrunk, Rod Grozier, and Lori Swann shared the latest trends and successful models for capital development planning, and Y staffers left the workshop feeling inspired and ready to tackle their next capital campaign with the tools and templates we shared. With complimentary beverages, delicious eats, dancing, and live music by The Spazmatics, a rip-roaring good time was had by all. In fact, we have the photographic evidence to prove it. Want to see Team Daxko again soon? So, what were your favorite moments from the NAYDO Conference? Have a tweet-worthy conference photo? Share it with @Daxko (and don't forget #NAYDO). In the meantime, we'll be planning our appearance at the NAYDO 2015 Conference in Atlanta!
